We are Mount Elgon Tours, a locally owned tour agency based in Budadiri, Mbale, Uganda. We are located near Sasa Trail offices in Budadiri, a key starting point for one of Mount Elgon's main hiking routes. We organize day and multi-day hiking and trekking experiences within and outside the Mount Elgon National Park. Our tour packages include Mount Elgon Hiking, Sisiyi Falls hiking, Sipi Falls hiking, Budadiri hiking experience, Community walking tours, Nature walks, cultural experiences, and wildlife safaris.
We are a team of local guides with an extensive and rich knowledge of the local area. Our guided hiking experiences are expertly organized and customized to fit every visitor's interests and budget, making them the best and most affordable hiking tour packages on Mount Elgon in Uganda.

1. Our Story
I. The Early Days (2017-2019)
After about 5 years of working as porters and community tour guide, Lawrence and two other friends noticed a striking imbalance: only foreign nationals were participating in tour activities, while locals were largely absent. This observation sparked an idea.
II. The Birth of a Concept (2020)
We decided to start a local hiking club (Budadiri Hikers) to encourage fellow Ugandans to explore their own natural heritage. The club's success was swift, with members venturing beyond Mount Elgon to discover new destinations. This experience laid the groundwork for Team's vision: a tour company that would showcase Uganda and Mount Elgon's hidden gems to both the locals and foreign visitors while promoting sustainable tourism practices.
